A group of AM daytimer owners is urging interested parties to file their comments in the FCC's Notice of Proposed Rule Making on using FM translators for AM stations.
Comments on MB Docket No. 07-172 are due TODAY (with reply comments due FEBRUARY 4) and can be filed by going to http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs, clicking on "Submit a Filing," entering proceeding number 07-172, and completing the form. The proposal would allow AMs to use FM translators within their 2 mV/m contour and within 25 miles of the AM tower site, and would also allow AM daytimers to originate programming on the translators.
More on the AM DAYTIMERS ASSOCIATION's position is available at AMDaytimers.org.
