All of us at ALL ACCESS were saddened to hear that a former COLUMBIA RECORDS VP, DR. GEORGE BUTLER was found after he wandered away from a retirement home in HAYWARD, CA. on TUESDAY JANUARY 8th. BUTLER is credited with discovering and signing legendary jazz musicians HARRY CONNICK JR. and WYNTON MARSALIS. DR. BUTLER is 76.
BUTLER suffers from ALZHEIMERS disease and dementia. He was transferred to EDEN MEDICAL CENTER in CASTRO VALLEY, CA. with mild hypothermia. Hospital officials say they expect a full recovery.
