Former Indy Racing Broadcaster Lou Palmer Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former WIBC-A/INDIANAPOLIS news anchor and longtime auto racing reporter/anchor LOU PALMER, who died in BEECH GROVE, IN on SATURDAY of a brain hemorrhage suffered JANUARY 15th. 

PALMER, 75, whose real name was LOUIS A. PERUNKO JR., started at WIBC in 1955 and worked there through the eighties, and was a reporter/anchor on the INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY RADIO NETWORK in 1958-1985 and, later, for the CART RADIO NETWORK.
