While regular VANCOUVER CANUCKS radio analyst TOM LARSCHEID takes some mid-season vacation time, his chair in the CANUCKS booth has been taken by several guest commentators, including VANCOUVER SUN columnist IAN MACINTYRE and injured player BRENDAN MORRISON, but TONIGHT's guest is the most unusual: comic and actor BRENT BUTT, star of CTV's hit sitcom "CORNER GAS," will sit in alongside play-by-play man JOHN SHORTHOUSE to call the game against the ST. LOUIS BLUES.
BUTT told the GLOBE AND MAIL that he was a goalie when a child in SASKATCHEWAN because he was a "short fat kid who couldn't skate" and was preparing for the game by "doing extensive research by the beer dispensers." The CANUCKS air on CTV Sports CKST-A (TEAM 1040)/VANCOUVER.
