MuxCo Gets DAB Multiplex For Gloucestershire

OFCOM has granted a new digital radio multiplex in GLOUSTERSHIRE to MUXCO GLOUCESTERSHIRE, a partnership of MUXCO with MURFIN MEDIA, TOWN AND COUNTRY BROADCASTING, and UKRD.
The multiplex will carry GCAP's Top 40 SEVERN SOUND and Classic Hits GOLD; UKRD's Full Service STAR 107.5; MURFIN's Classic Rock SMITHY ROCK; TOWN AND COUNTRY's Full Service LOCAL LIVE; EASY RADIO LTD.'s Easy Listening EASY RADIO; MUXCO's own Youth channel SHUFFLE; a Rock/Pop channel, "CONFIDENTIAL"; UNITED CHRISTIAN BROADCASTERS' Religion UCB UK; and TRAFFIC RADIO. MUXCO is required to launch at least 10 channels by OCTOBER 30th.
The agency has also opened a new DAB multiplex for bids in SOMERSET. Applications for the multiples, which must include a digital version of BBC SOMERSET, are due on APRIL 23rd
