WINDOW ROCK ENTERPRISES, the makers of heavily advertised CORTISLIM, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company has been battling an FTC lawsuit; Two of the company's principals, SHAWN TALBOTT and THOMAS CHENG, have settled with the FTC, while former spokesman GREG CYNAUMON and founder STEPHEN CHENG remain defendants and the FTC has a $160 million claim against the company.
CORTISLIM aired a heavy schedule of spots on radio with talent endorsements; it will continue to operate and hopes to emerge from bankruptcy within four months, but has previously agreed to stop claiming that the pill causes weight loss.
