In a plea bargain deal, a FLORIDA pirate station tower owner has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge.
The SOUTH FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL reports that PANAGIOTIS FRANGISKAKIS,a LAKE WORTH used car dealer, will serve a year of probation and 25 hours of community service and will donate $1425. each to two arts non-profits for allowing two Haitian pirate FMs to broadcast from the tower. The tower has since been destroyed as part of the plea bargain; the pirates were not caught. If he had not negotiated a deal, FRANGISKAKIS faced felony charges with a 5 year prison ter, and $500,000. fine.
