ABC RADIO NETWORKS EVP/GM DARRYL BROWN is set to announce he's stepping away from his daily duties with the network in order to spend more time with his family. BROWN will remain as a special adviser on Hispanic radio to ABC RADIO NETWORKS Pres, JIM ROBINSON
BROWN told ALL ACCESS, " it's been a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful run at ABC. I am excited about spending more quality time with my two sons, DARRYL JR., 6 and ANDREW THOMAS, 3."
In a memo sent to the staff, ROBINSON said, "After almost 30 years of providing thoughtful leadership to ABC RADIO NETWORKS, DARRYL BROWN is taking on a new role ... and a not-so-new one, too. As of next week, DARRYL will begin assignment as a special consultant to me and our Hispanic team. This means he will no longer be on-site here at the network on a day-to-day basis. His primary job will be helping his wife, JEAN ANN, chase their two young sons. DARRYL was looking for a better balance between work and family, and I certainly support him in this decision. I'm grateful that he will remain part of our network family by continuing to advise us on our Hispanic platform initiatives."
