XM will once again offer comprehensive GRAMMY Radio programming, leading off with the broadcast of "Fifty Years of The GRAMMYs," an exclusive 50-hour retrospective highlighting past winners since 1958 in a range of categories in all genres of music, including "Record Of The Year," "Song Of The Year" and dozens more.
GRAMMY Radio will also feature a live broadcast of this year's pre-telecast GRAMMY Awards, as well as red-carpet interviews from the GRAMMY Awards and broadcasts of unforgettable performances by a "who's who" of superstar artists at the most exclusive events during GRAMMY Week. These include: MUSICARES Person of the Year tribute honoring music icon ARETHA FRANKLIN; GRAMMY Salute To Jazz honoring SONNY ROLLINS and MCCOY TYNER; and GRAMMY Salute To Classical Music honoring LANG LANG and EARL WILD.
"GRAMMY Radio will once again provide millions of XM subscribers the closest thing to red-carpet access and front-row seats at the music industry's most exclusive events, traditionally reserved only for music industry V.I.P.s," said EVP/Programming ERIC LOGAN. "XM is the ideal platform to bring comprehensive coverage of GRAMMY Week events to the millions of music fans who subscribe to our service."
