CBS News WWJ-A/DETROIT VP/GM RICH HOMBERG exits to join DETROIT PUBLIC TELEVISION, operator of PBS affiliate WTVS (TV) and noncommercial Classical-Jazz WRCJ/DETROIT, as President and GM, effective FRIDAY (2/1).
HOMBERG had been with the CBS cluster in DETROIT since 1996 and replaces interim GM DAN ALPERT, who took over when STEVE ANTONIOTTI exited last APRIL.
BUTZEL LONG P.C. Dir. of Global Client Relations and chairman of the PETROIT PUBLIC TELEVISION Board of Trustees search committee RICHARD RASSEL said that the committee was "most impressed with the fact that (HOMBERG) has created many successful broad-based community partnerships and has shown innovative use of new media."
