Veteran major market air personality CHIO resigned from CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WIOQ(Q102)/PHILADELPHIA today (12/2), and announced that he'll assume the morning drive airshift on FINEST CITY Top 40/Rhythmic XHTZ (Z90)/SAN DIEGO, effective 1/3/06. His last day on-air in PHILADELPHIA will be FRIDAY 12/16.
CHIO tells ALL ACCESS, "This will be the THIRD time that I've worked for (Z90 PD) RICK THOMAS, and I'm excited for this new opportunity. I've been doing mornings for Q102 for six years. It's been a lot of fun, and I have MANY great memories, but it's time for me to move on."
This will be the THIRD time that I've worked for (Z90 PD) RICK THOMAS.
Joining CHIO at Z90 will be morning show producer JUSTIN "TOOL" SCHEMAN, who most recently produced the morning show at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WLDI (WILD 95.5)/WEST PALM BEACH, and previously worked at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WDCG (G105)/RALEIGH.
CHIO has extensive experience in the SAN DIEGO market, having worked at former Top 40 KKLQ (Q106) from 1990-92, and again in 1997, and at Top 40 KHTS (CHANNEL 93.3) and Rhythmic Gold XHRM in 1998. He also did nights for Z100/NEW YORK (1992-95), and Q102/PHILLY (1995-97).
