EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION buys yet another FM, this time picking up Oldies KQBE/ELLENSBURG-YAKIMA, WA from PEAK COMMUNICATIONS for $825,000.
It also closed on the purchase of two stations serving WEST VIRGINIA from MARANATHA RADIO for a total price of $900,000. EMF bought noncommercial class A Gospel WMEJ/PROCTORVILLE, OH-HUNTINGTON, WV and noncommercial class B1 (with CP for C2) Gospel WZWA/CLARKSBURG, WV from MARANATHA, which retained Gospel WXAF/CHARLESTON.
JOHN PIERCE AND CO. served as exclusive broker for the deal.
In other deals filed with the FCC, OZARK MOUNTAIN BROADCASTING, LLC is selling Adult Standards KXIO/CLARKSVILLE, AR to JODY COPELAND for $449,500.
LKCM RADIO GROUP, LP is selling KFSZ/MUNDS PARK-FLAGSTAFF, AZ to MICHAEL O'DONNELL's OD BROADCASTING, LLC for $2.35 million.
And GREAT LAKES COMMUNITY BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translator W221BQ/PETPSKEY, MI to MACDONALD GARBER BROADCASTING, INC. for $1,500. The buyer has filed for Special Temporary Authority to use the translator to rebroadcast its Talk WMKT-A/CHARLEVOIX, MI.
