CLEAR CHANNEL is selling a simulcast pair serving the HUNTSVILLE, AL to CUMULUS for $3.3 million. Oldies WWXQ/TRINITY-HUNTSVILLE and its simulcast partner WXQW/MERIDIANVILLE (KOOL 94.1) will go to CUMULUS in the deal, which also involves the move of CUMULUS' Urban AC WHRP/TULLAHOMA-HUNTSVILLE (downgrading from a Class C1 to a Class C2 with new city of license NEW MARKET) on the tower of CLEAR CHANNEL's Country WDRM/HUNTSVILLE, and requires CUMULUS to not object to the move-in of CLEAR CHANNEL's WLAY/TUSCUMBIA-FLORENCE to the HUNTSVILLE market (using WXQW's city of license, MERIDIANVILLE; WXQW has applied to move its COL to GURLEY).
