Former WBIX/Boston Owner Bleidt Sentenced

Former WBIX-A/BOSTON owner BRAD BLEIDT was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in jail and three years of "supervised release" MONDAY (12/5) for the fraud that swindled 125 investors out of $30 million. BLEIDT used about half of the money to buy and run WBIX, which he lost after a failed suicide attempt exposed the fraud. The sentence was set as part of a JULY plea bargain over the 115 mail fraud counts and one money laundering count, and is less than the 14-17 years set in the optional federal sentencing guidelines.
