Sources tell ALL ACCESS that long-time D.C. radio presence BENNETT ZIER, as well as fellow CLEAR CHANNEL vet and acclaimed programmer JEFF WYATT, are basically leaving the radio business. They are teaming up with KEN UMANSKY to form UWZ CONSULTING, which will concentrate on non-radio business development and promotion.

ZIER and WYATT, who left CLEAR CHANNEL in D.C. to oversee WASHINGTON REDSKINS owner DAN SNYDER's RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING in 2006, left a year later; they started this consultancy because, instead of going after the CLEAR CHANNEL RVP/WASHINGTON, D.C. vacancy, as rumored, they formed a consultancy because they were purportedly disenchanted with the growth prospects in radio.
