XM Canada Parent Launches IPO

CANADIAN SATELLITE RADIO, parent of XM CANADA, launched its IPO on MONDAY, raising about C$800 million. The company placed 3.4 million subordinate voting shares at an initial price of C$16./share. Leading the offering were RBC CAPITAL MARKETS and GENUITY CAPITAL MARKETS, with BMO NESBITT BURNS, CIBC WORLD MARKETS, GMP SECURITIES, NATIONAL BANK FINANCIAL, and TD SECURITIES INC. as partners. The offering closes DECEMBER 12, when the stock begins to trade on the TORONTO STOCK EXCHANGE with the symbol XSR.SV.
