Report: Reggae's Mikey Dread Dies At 54

The JAMAICA OBSERVER is reporting that reggae performer, DJ, radio personality, and producer MIKEY DREAD died FRIDAY (3/15) in CONNECTICUT at 54 after a battle with a brain tumor. 

DREAD (real name MICHAEL CAMPBELL) started as an engineer, and then a show host starting in 1976, at the JAMAICA BROADCASTING CORPORATION, later becomng a performer and producer, working with, and touring with, THE CLASH. He also owned his own DREAD AT THE CONTROLS label.
