Candidate-Host Pulled Off KFRU Until Election

CUMULUS Talk KFRU-A/COLUMBIA, MO takes morning co-host and candidate FRED PARRY off the air until after the local APRIL 8 election to avoid triggering equal time requirements. PARRY is running for a seat on the BOONE HOSPITAL Board of Trustees. 

Rival candidate KEITH SCHNARRE made an equal time request last WEDNESDAY, prompting the station to pull PARRY off the air for now. Guest hosts will fill PARRY's slot in the interim.
