FRONTIER BROADCASTING, LLC II is selling Talk WPTW-A/PIQUA, OH to MARK HINER's MIAMI VALLEY RADIO, LLC for $70,000 plus a time brokerage agreement before closing.
In other deals filed with the FCC, ELKINS RADIO CORPORATION is selling Oldies WELK (OLDIES 94.7)/ELKINS, WV and Hot AC WBTQ (HOT 93)/BUCKHANNON, WV to WEST VIRGINIA RADIO CORPORATION OF ELKINS. The price for WBTQ is $1.25 million and the price for WELK is $1,048,100. The buyer took over a time brokerage agreement to operate WBTQ last AUGUST and has been operating WELK since 2005.
HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP is selling noncommercial KHZF/FAGAITUA, AMERICAN SAMOA to SHANNON J. CUMMINGS for $13,000 ($5,000 at closing and the rest one year from date of closing) plus an LMA before closing. CUMMINGS, owner of THE SOCIETY OF PURE TRUTH MINISTRIES, INC., owns a translator in MISSISSIPPI and has applied for another noncommercial FM at NU'UULI, AMERICAN SAMOA.
FRANKIE GROVER has filed to reassume ownership of Spanish WHNR-A (LA PODEROSA)/CYPRESS GARDENS, FL from MARTIN SANTOS because of what a letter from GROVER indicates SANTOS' inability to meet his financial obligation regarding his original purchase of the station. GROVER says he wants the license transferred back to himself "until such time as Mr. SANTOS is able to meet his financial obligations."
And AURIO A. MATOS BARRETO is selling W279BV/SAN JUAN to JUAN CARLOS MATOS BARRETO for $100,000. The translator will rebroadcast Spanish Contemporary Christian WBRQ/CIDRA, PR.
