VERAX CAPITAL GP. LLC has filed paperwork with the FCC proposing to convert its interest in DEAN GOODMAN's GOODRADIO TV, LLC so that it transfers control from GOODMAN as sole manager to a five-member board of directors controlled by VERAX. The move, says VERAX, is permitted under the company's limited liability company agreement. VERAX will elect three of the five managers on the new board. GOODMAN will see his voting percentage go from 100% to 20%.
Another FCC filing reveals the price for CLEAR CHANNEL's sale of six TENNESSEE stations to JEFF SHAW's PEG BROADCASTING CROSSVILLE, LLC as $550,000. The stations include Talk WAKI-A, Classic Country WBMC-A, and Country WKZP (THE BULL)/MCMINNVILLE, TN; and Rock WRKK-F (ROCK DOG 105.5), Southern Gospel WSMT-A, and Talk WTZX-A/SPARTA, TN. WKZP has an application on file to move its city of license to WALDEN and its signal into the CHATTANOOGA market.
In other deals filed with the FCC, RED BEACON COMMUNICATIONS LLC sells Oldies KCTY (OLDIES 104.9) and Classic Country KTCH-A/WAYNE, NE to WAYNE RADIO WORKS LLC for $450,000 in a promissory note; and the ESTATE OF PEGGY HALEY sells Silent KETX-A, Country KETX-F and silent LPTV KETX-LP/LIVINGSTON, TX to TELCOM SUPPLY, INC. for $1.4 million cash.
