Blue Ridge Broadcasting's Tom Atema Exits

BLUE RIDGE BROADCASTING Executive Director TOM ATEMA will depart the station on DECEMBER 31st to accept a new opportunity with EQUIP of ATLANTA. In his new role, ATEMA will be VP of Strategic Partnerships.

WMIT and WFGW/BLACK MOUNTAIN, NC GM JIM KIRKLAND will assume ATEMA's duties in addition to his present responsibilities.

ATEMA, an ordained minister, joined BLUE RIDGE BROADCASTING in 1999 as Asst. GM, becoming GM the following year. He was elevated to Executive Director in JANUARY 2005.
