Former CBC Radio Hosts Honored With Aboriginal Awards

Among the 14 winners of CANADA's National Aboriginal Achievement Awards for 2006 are two former CBC radio personalities. MYRA CREE, the RADIO-CANADA host who died earlier this year, and GEORGE TUCCARO, who worked for CBC RADIO NORTH for 25 years before exiting to consult, will be honored at a JANUARY 27 gala in VANCOUVER to be telecast on GLOBAL on JANUARY 28.
