ALASKA BROADCAST COMMUNICATIONS is expanding its use of RADIO2DOT0's VIRTUALNEWSCENTER custom local newscasts with News Director SCOTT ROBERTS to its AC KIFW-A/SITKA and AC KTKN-A/KETCHIKAN starting MONDAY (4/7) and is also adding the newscast service to its Talk KJNO-A/JUNEAU. The broadcaster already uses VIRTUALNEWSCENTER on its Country KTKU (TAKU 105)/JUNEAU.
"Small- and medium-market stations face an ever-increasing pressure to do more with less," said ALASKA BROADCAST COMMUNICATIONS Owner RICHARD BURNS. "VIRTUALNEWSCENTER allows us to have network quality, local news in the cost-effective manner we seek..... We're excited to be the first stations in ALASKA to offer news that calls out listeners. RADIO2DOT0's VIRTUALNEWSCENTER Mobile is a ground-breaking product that puts us on the cutting edge of getting our content to listeners' mobile devices."
