LOS ANGELES DODGERS Hall of Fame announcer VIN SCULLY will receive no less than three honors this month, starting on SUNDAY when he will be inducted into the CALIFORNIA SPORTS HALL OF FAME at the PACIFIC PALMS RESORT in CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA. Then, on APRIL 26, he will give the SEAVER COLLEGE commencement address at PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY in MALIBU (receiving an honorary doctorate), and, finally, SCULLY will be honored by his alma mater, FORDHAM UNIVERSITY, by the school's noncommercial WFUV at the Inaugural Spring Gala and Benefit for the station's 60th anniversary on APRIL 29th.
"I’m deeply grateful for these honors and consider myself extremely fortunate," said SCULLY, the DODGERS' voice for 59 seasons. "I was at FORDHAM when they started their FM radio station 60 years ago, so I consider it a real privilege to have been there at the beginning."
SCULLY is heard calling DODGERS baseball on CITADEL Talk KABC-A, CBS independent KCAL-TV, and FSN PRIME TICKET/LOS ANGELES.
