Arbitron Starts Language Weighting In 21 Markets

ARBITRON's two-day Consultant Fly-In concluded yesterday (12/8) in COLUMBIA, MD with VP/Domestic Research ED COHEN announcing that language weighting will begin in 21 markets with the upcoming WINTER '06 survey (JANUARY 5-MARCH 29). ARBITRON diaries will ask for race and ethnicity and be weighted by the respondents primary language in the top-ranked Hispanic markets including NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, CHICAGO, SAN FRANCISCO, DALLAS, HOUSTON, MIAMI, PHOENIX, DENVER, SACRAMENTO, RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNARDINO, SAN JOSE, SAN ANTONIO, and AUSTIN.
