Former WIP Host, Ballplayer John Marzano Dead At 45

Condolences to family and friends of former major league catcher and radio commentator JOHN MARZANO, who died SATURDAY afternoon at his home in SOUTH PHILADELPHIA at 45. MARZANO was found dead in his home after a fall; police speculated that he may have suffered a heart attack. 

MARZANO, most recently co-host of a show for MLB.COM, was a regular on CBS Sports WIP-A/PHILADELPHIA and COMCAST SPORTSNET. The PHILADELPHIA native played for the BOSTON RED SOX, TEXAS RANGERS and SEATTLE MARINERS, as well as in the PHILLIES and INDIANS' minor league systems.
