Sued While On The Beach

The gloves are off and the attorneys are on in ATLANTA, where LINCOLN FINANCIAL Top 40/Mainstream WSTR (STAR 94) filed suit against former morning duo STEVE MCCOY and VIKKI LOCKE for breach of contract. The action is in response to TV spots the two have done for their future employer COX AC WSB-F (B98.5). STEVE & VICKY start there on JULY 1st.

In an e-mailed statement sent to THE ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, COX RADIO Pres./CEO BOB NEIL stated: "We are confident that there have been no violations of STEVE and VIKKI’s non-compete clause. It’s a shame that STEVE and VIKKI are being badgered while following the rules in pursuing their new career opportunities. Following their release from STAR 94, COX RADIO eagerly welcomes these A-plus-rated personalities to B98.5 FM."

Attorneys representing LINCOLN FINANCIAL did not comment.
