KIOI Names Andrew Jeffries PD

CLEAR CHANNEL Hot AC KIOI (STAR 101.3)/SAN FRANCISCO President and Market Mgr. DAVE PUGH has named U.K. and NEW ZEALAND programming veteran ANDREW JEFFRIES for PD duties. He replaces STACY CUNNINGHAM who will now focus on PD duties for sister Rhythmic station KMEL. APD/MD DARREN MCPEAKE exits as his position is eliminated.

JEFFRIES 20 year radio career includes programming positions in NEW ZEALAND, AUSTRALIA, and nine years in LONDON working with the CAPITAL RADIO GROUP, as PD of KISS 100/LONDON, KARANG RADIO, and Director of Music & Programming for MUSIC CHOICE.

JEFFRIES' numerous honors and awards include U.K. "PROGRAMMER & BRITISH RADIO "PD of The Year," and an "Outstanding Contribution to Radio Award." He and his team garnered multiple awards for "National Station of the Year," NTL DIGITAL "Station of the Year," and MUSIC WEEK "Station of the Year."
