A one-day strike hit AUSTRALIA's ABC radio on TUESDAY, as current affairs show staffers walked off the job to protest plans to have the newspeople run their own boards, cutting several board operator jobs. The strike at 5:30a AEDT knocked national shows AM, PM, and THE WORLD TODAY off the air. Other shows and newscasts are continuing as normal.
