Kudos to Country group DIAMOND RIO's MARTY ROE and JIMMY OLANDER, who completed the COUNTRY MUSIC HALF MARATHON last SATURDAY (4/26) in NASHVILLE. MARTY and JIMMY were among the 150 members of "TEAM RIO" that ran/walked the marathon, raised over $116,000 for BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS of MIDDLE TENNESSEE. MARTY and JIMMY both crossed the finish line in 2:20:37.
Concurrently, the band nearly avoided disaster later that evening at a show in TEMPE, AZ, after a large gust of wind caused a lighting truss to blow over and fall on DIAMOND RIO keyboardist DAN TRUMAN and the group's production manager. The two walked away with only minor injuries.
