WVU Engineer John McKinney Dies

Condolences to family and friends of longtime WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY football and basketball radio engineer JOHN MCKINNEY, who died SUNDAY of heart failure while in surgery at MONONGALIA GENERAL HOSPITAL for a foot infection at 59. 

MCKINNEY, the Technical Director for the MOUNTAINEER SPORTS NETWORK for 31 years, was Chief Engineer for WEST VIRGINIA RADIO CORP. WVU flagship Talk WAJR-A-F/MORGANTOWN. Among his survivors is his son JOHN JR., who took over his father's basketball broadcast duties in recent years.
