The NBA's HOUSTON ROCKETS are in the process of looking for a new radio broadcasting team to replace longtime ROCKETS voices GENE PETERSON and JIM FOLEY, reports the HOUSTON CHRONICLE's DAVID BARRON.
Team CEO TAD BROWN told BARRON that Dir. of Broadcasting JOEL BLANK is collecting audition tapes and hopes to decide by the end of JULY. He added that the team is undecided about whether they'll go with a solo voice or a team, and that studio host and backup analyst CRAIG ACKERMAN will be given "every opportunity" to compete for the job.
