The tally from last week's PRESTON AND STEVE "Camp Out for Hunger" by WMMR/PHILADELPHIA is 86 tons- 172,000 pounds- of food in 10 tractor-trailers raides for PHILADELPHIA charity PHILABUNDANCE. Morning guys PRESTON ELIOT and STEVE MORRISON camped out in an RV all week at the METROPLEX SHOPPING CENTER in suburban PLYMOUTH MEETING, collecting the food and an additional $10,000. in cash.
As part of the charity effort, the largest corporate donor (28,000 pounds), TH PROPERTIES, won a live PRESTON AND STEVE broadcast, and SUN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL won a concert with THOUSAND FOOT CRUTCH and AMERICAN MINOR at the TROCADERO in PHILADELPHIA for raising 14,000 pounds of food, the largest scholastic donation.
