NEWCAP is buying Ethnic CKJS-A/WINNIPEG from CKJS LTD. for C$1.8 million. 

NEWCAP Pres./CEO ROB STEELE said in a statement that "in a radio environment crowded with music stations, CKJS has a successful 30-year track record in serving WINNIPEG's large, multi-cultural population. Broadcasting in 19 different languages each week, CKJS reflects the rich cultural heritage and ethnic diversity found in WINNIPEG. NEWCAP RADIO is very enthusiastic to build on and enhance the radio station's important role in the community." 

NEWCAP's acquisition of crosstown AC CHNR (THE BREEZE) is also pending.
