Condolences to family and friends of TWIN CITIES heavy metal musician, DJ, label owner, and record store proprietor EARL ROOT, who died FRIDAY of complications from non-Hodgkin's regenerative lymphoma at 46, according to the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS. 

ROOT played in several bands, including AESMA DAEVA, owned the ROOT OF ALL EVIL label and ROOT CELLAR RECORDS retail store in ST. PAUL, and hosted a late-night heavy metal show, "THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL," on FRESH AIR, INC. noncommercial Variety KFAI/MINNEAPOLIS for 22 years.
