WQED SVP Exits To Join New Pittsburgh Mayor's Staff

WQED MULTIMEDIA SVP and Station Manager B.J. LEBER is exiting the company to join PITTSBURGH Mayor-elect BOB O'CONNOR's administration as Chief of Staff, with the resignation taking effect DECEMBER 31 and the new job starting with O'CONNOR's taking office on JANUARY 3. 

LEBER has been managing WQED MULTIMEDIA's noncommercial WQED-F and PBS affiliate WQED-TV/PITTSBURGH as well as PITTSBURGH MAGAZINE since 1995 after nine years ar the PORET AUTHORITY OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY; before that nine year run, she worked in production at KDKA-A and KDKA-TV/PITTSBURGH.
