The "FM Channelcast" experiment is over, at least in name, at two of the three stations in THE MOREY ORGANIZATION's HAMPTONS-RIVERHEAD cluster, as Alternative WLIR dropped its "FM CHANNEL 107: NEO BREEZE" handle and eclectic Adult Hits/Jazz format and Dance WDRE dropped its "FM CHANNEL 105: PARTY HITS" name for the more familiar "PARTY 105.3" slogan on MONDAY (12/19).
The two stations and sister WBON went to an unusual commercial-free format with hourly "sponsorships" and no jocks on SEPTEMBER 15; WLIR and WDRE have reverted to the old formats but retain the hourly sponsorships for now. Former WLIR PD ANDRE FERRO is back at the stations and appeared on MONDAY for a "Flashback Lunch" show.
