WBZZ-A/Tampa To Drop Talk

The future plans for INFINITY's Talk WBZZ-A (1010 THE BUZZ)/TAMPA are finally in place, and it's a simulcast of sister Country WQYK. 

The ST. PETERSBURG TIMES reports that WBZZ will flip back to its previous WQYK-A calls and start the simulcast on JANUARY 1, dropping the "hot talk" lineup of HOWARD STERN, DON AND MIKE, and local shows launched in JULY 2004. The station had tried various versions of Talk and an all-Sports format for several years before adding STERN and going with "hot talk" last year.
