KDJM/Denver Flip Raises Councilwoman's Ire

The flip of CBS RADIO's KDJM/DENVER from Urban Oldies "JAMMIN' 92.5" to Country as "WILLIE 92.5" has drawn criticism from a DENVER city councilwoman who is raising the racial issue in protesting the change.

CBS O&O KCNC-TV (CBS4)/DENVER reports that Councilwoman ELBRA WEDGEWORTH met with CBS' DON HOWE to voice her concerns, saying that she is concerned with "constituencies that have lost their station." HOWE told WEDGEWORTH and CBS4 that recent ratings made it "even more clear that the format was really never gonna crack... the barriers that we needed it to. The audience simply wasn't there."
