Talker Faces Insurance Fraud Charges

The BLATHERWATCH blog is reporting that ENTERCOM Talk KIRO-A/SEATTLE evening host MIKE WEBB has been charged with filing a fraudulent insurance claim stemming from a JUNE car accident and subsequent claims filed with GEICO. BLATHERWATCH's MICHAEL HOOD reports that the case involves a dispute over whether WEBB filed a claim for the accident before or after a policy from GEICO was obtained, and that WEBB was arraigned THURSDAY, pleaded not guilty, and had his pre-trial hearing set for JANUARY 4. 

WEBB will be taking scheduled vacation days this week but will be back on the air next week, according to PD TOM CLENDENING. The station is not otherwise commenting on the story.
