JOURNAL Talk KQTH (104.1 THE TRUTH)/TUCSON morning man JON JUSTICE hosted almost 300 local law enforcement personnel THURSDAY (6/5) at a local EINSTEIN BROS. BAGELS shop for a breakfast and live broadcast to raise money for the family of a police officer killed by a man who went on a shooting rampage SUNDAY. The event collected over $3,000 in three and a half hours for the family of officer ERIK HITE, who left a wife, a son in the Army, and a one-year-old daughter.
JUSTICE and TUCSON POLICE ASSOCIATION President LARRY LOPEZ took calls from listeners during the live broadcast, which also focused on cuts that left the police department short 30% in manpower.
