WKLU Helps Indy Storm Victims

Since last week, a series of powerful storms have been battering INDIANA, prompting Governor MITCH DANIELS to name 39 counties official distaster areas. A tornado caused extensive damage to the town of MOSCOW, while heavy rains have caused flooding and wiped out bridges in the process.

OASIS Classic Hits WKLU (Oldies 101.9)/INDIANAPOLIS will respond to the disaster with OPERATION STORM RELIEF. On THURSDAY (6/12) from 6a-7p, morning hosts CRYSTAL & LIBBY, middayer MATT ALBRO, and afternoon jock JEFF LEWIS will broadcast live from the parking lot of the KROGER in hard hit BROWNSBURG, 12 miles west of INDY. A semi-truck will be set up and listeners are being asked to come by to fill it with donations of water, food and other necessities.
