Capital's Collins Gets U.K. One Network Show

Most of GCAP MEDIA's Top 40 ONE NETWORK stations will air a national show with CAPITAL 95.8/LONDON host PHILLIPPA COLLINS 10a-1p as part of changes at the 42 station chain that will result in about 20 local personalities at the stations displaced from their current time slots, according to the GUARDIAN. The network is also canceling the "LATE NIGHT LOVE" call-in show hosted by GRAHAM TORRINGTON, on which COLLINS, normally heard 1-4a on CAPITAL 95.8 and also an imaging voice for sister Alternative XFM, occasionally filled in.

The GUARDIAN is also reporting that GMG RADIO is also making moves at Easy Listening SMOOTH RADIO's six stations nationwide, launching FIONAL PHILLIPS' SUNDAY afternoon show and ANDY PEEBLES' SATURDAY evening "SOUL TRAIN" show across the SMOOTH network.
