Journal/Milwaukee Helps Flood Victims

JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP's MILWAUKEE cluster -- NBC affiliate WTMJ-TV (TODAY'S TMJ4), Talk WTMJ-A, and Hot AC WKTI -- joined with the SALVATION ARMY to air the "How I Can Help" Telethon to aid WISCONSIN flood victims on TUESDAY (6/17). The stations raised over $100,000 in the process.

"We had viewers and listeners calling in to pledge one thousand, two thousand, even twenty-five hundred dollars. The generosity and the eagerness of Wisconsinites wanting to help each other was truly inspiring," said EVP -– Television & Radio Operations STEVE WEXLER. "We’re glad we could do our part in making a difference for WISCONSIN families affected by the floods."

"The SALVATION ARMY will be here for the families affected by the flood until the end. We are very grateful to our many volunteers and to have the opportunity to be part of TODAY’S TMJ4, NEWSRADIO 620 WTMJ and 94.5 WKTI’s team to help those most in need," said SALVATION ARMY MILWAUKEE COUNTY Commissioner Maj. DEBORAH SJOGREN.
