The FCC has denied an appeal by ENTERCOM and CBS of the grant of the move of CUMULUS Adult Hits KCJK (JACK FM, formerly KFME)/GARDEN CITY, MO into the KANSAS CITY market. The competitors objected that the new facility did not place the requisite city grade signal over the community of license.
The FCC has also fined RIVERSIDE YOUTH & REHABILITATION d/b/a RIVERSIDE MINISTRIES AND CHRISTIAN VOICE OF CENTRAL OHIO, INC. $20,000 for falsely certifying on an application for the move of the tower of its noncommercial WZNP/NEWARK, OH that it did not propose a modification to an authorization that was awarded on the basis of a preference for fair distribution of service. However, the Commission granted the sale of the station to CHRISTIAN VOICE OF CENTRAL OHIO, over the objection of KENT STATE UNIVERSITY.
