DSN MUSIC, a service of the DIGITAL SYNDICATE NETWORK (DSN), is acquiring a controlling interest in PORTLAND, OR-based TOM KAT RECORDS, prompting a couple executive changes.
DSN Pres. GUY W. GIULIANO has appointed DENISE PEARCY VP/Artist Relations for the new label, and SCOTT BERGEVIN as head of A&R. Both PEARCY and BERGEVIN previously worked at DSN's music download service DSNMUSIC.COM. "It is my pleasure to be paired with such a stellar team, DSN MUSIC and TOM KAT RECORDS are the perfect match," PEARCY said.
"I am excited to have been able to partner with DSN," said THOM KING, founder of TOM KAT RECORDS and head of parent company SOUTHWEST MULTIMEDIA. "I feel that TOM KAT RECORD artists will be getting tons of exposure through the DSN network of sites that will result in increased record sales. This made good sense for everyone involved and I am eager to start signing new artists."
TOM KAT RECORDS is the home of hard rock group DUST from ICELAND, and LOS ANGELES-based rockers CAGE9 and ENVY OF NONA.
