CBC RADIO SUDBURY/SUDBURY, ON "MORNING NORTH" reporter BARRY MERCER is retiring TODAY (12/30) after almost 34 years in the business. MERCER started with the CBC in GOOSE BAY, NF in 1972 and joined the SUDBURY operation in 1985, hosting "POINTS NORTH" and "RADIO NOON" before taking his latest position.
