Condolences to family and friends of freelance public radio producer JOHANNA (CHANI) COOPER, who died JULY 10th in SANTA MONICA, CA of complications from breast cancer at 53.
COOPER produced programming for NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO, PUBLIC RADIO INTERNATIONAL, and SANTA MONICA COLLEGE noncommercial KCRW/SANTA MONICA-LOS ANGELES, where she produced "JEWISH SHORT STORIES FROM THE OLD WORLD TO THE NEW WORLD," hosted by LEONARD NIMOY. She also served as Director of LISTENUP! RADIO and won the ROBERT F. KENNEDY AWARD for Domestic Radio Coverage in 1994.
