Broadcast School Owner Faces Fraud Charges

The operator of a broadcasting school in EDMONTON and a talent agency in the U.S. is facing fraud charges after her arrest last MONDAY. The EDMONTON JOURNAL reports that police in SAVANNAH, GA arrested JACQUIE HAMMOND after fielding complaints about her INTERNATIONAL MODEL AND TALENT CENTER, and HAMMOND, who also operated the CANADIAN SCHOOL OF MODERN BROADCASTING, has been charged with 6 counts of financial card fraud, five counts of theft by deception and five counts of identity theft.
The JOURNAL reports that the broadcasting school's facility appears to have closed. A court date has been set for later this month in SAVANNAH.
