The MIAMI HEAT inks a multi-year renewal with CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO but moves its play-by-play from Talk WIOD-A to sister Talk WINZ-A for the coming season. Both stations will air live feature segments each game day throughout the season. One game per month will also be simulcast on sister Urban WMIB (103.5 THE BEAT), and all of the cluster's stations will be involved in a marketing agreement with the team. MIKE INGLIS and JOHN CROTTY return to call the games, with JEREMY MARKS-PELTZ back for a second year as studio host.
"We’re really looking forward to bringing the HEAT Experience and the excitement of MIAMI HEAT basketball to 940 WINZ," said HEAT President of Business Operations ERIC WOOLWORTH. "CLEAR CHANNEL has been a great home for our radio broadcasts and we’re happy we’ve solidified that connection for many years to come."
"We are so excited to continue our partnership with the HEAT," added WINZ-WIOD Director of Programming KEN CHARLES. "WINZ used to broadcast HEAT games during the team’s early years and we welcome them back there with open arms."
